How to play

Each round the box sits red and says "wait…". After a random pause (1.5 to 6 seconds) it flips to green and says GO — click anywhere in the box as fast as you can.

During the wait the game baits you: a fake "GO!" over a still-red box, a brief wrong-shade green flash, a countdown that quits, motivational nonsense, a fake email notification. None of them are the real green.

Click while it's still red and you've jumped the gun: that round takes a 500 ms penalty, the wait restarts, and the light insults you. Do it as many times as you like — the penalty stacks.

After five rounds you get every round's time, your average, your best round, and how many times you jumped the gun.

Scoring

• Your score is the average of your five reaction times, in milliseconds — lower is better.
• Each gun-jump silently folds 500 ms into that round before it's averaged in, so premature clicks quietly wreck the number.
• A clean run of honest human reactions lands somewhere in the 200–300 ms range; the verdict at the end is not a medical opinion.

Tips

• Do not trust the game. The game has lied before, and it will lie again this round.
• React to the color, not the text — the word "GO!" appears while the box is still very much red.
• A green flash that vanishes in a blink was a fake; the real GO stays green and waits for you.
• Rest your finger and watch, don't hover-mash — one twitchy round can outweigh four good ones.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my average get so much worse than my clicks felt?

Every time you clicked before the light was truly green, that round quietly took a 500 ms penalty. The gun-jump counter at the end is the tally.

Is a fast green flash the real GO?

No — the fakes flash a slightly wrong shade of green for a fraction of a second and revert. The real GO turns a solid green and stays that way until you click.

Where is my career line saved?
