How to play Cursor Duel
Two cursors enter. One cursor leaves.
How to play
A real-time two-player duel: both cursors are live in the same arena, with positions streamed continuously.
Left click on your opponent's cursor to swing your sword. First to the winning number of hits takes the duel.
Hold right click to raise your shield — while blocking you cannot be hit. Each blocked hit spends one of your 3 shields, and they never regenerate.
Swings have a short cooldown, so wild click spam won't chew through a shield wall.
Use quick match to be paired with a stranger, or create a private room and share its 4-character code with a friend.
New to the blade? Hit Practice vs bot to duel Sir Botsalot — a solo warm-up that plays by the same rules but never touches the leaderboard.
Scoring
- Winning a duel adds one win to your leaderboard total — the board ranks players by career wins.
- Only the winner records anything; there are no points for a noble defeat.
Tips
- Erratic movement is armor — a cursor moving in a straight line is a dead cursor.
- Feint retreats and sharp reversals bait swings that miss, leaving your opponent's sword briefly committed.
- Shields are for emergencies, not habits: three blocks have to last the whole duel, so save them for when you're cornered.
Frequently asked questions
Are there bots?
Quick match and room codes are always real humans — bots never sneak into a ranked duel. There's one on purpose, though: Practice vs bot pits you against Sir Botsalot for a solo warm-up that doesn't count for the leaderboard.
Can I play against myself in two tabs?
No — matchmaking will never pair an account with itself.
