How to play One Pixel Off
Spot the odd tile before the clock runs out.
How to play
You're shown a grid of identical colored tiles — except one, which is a slightly different shade. Click the odd tile out.
There are five rounds. The grid grows each round (3×3 up to 7×7) and the shade difference shrinks, so it gets genuinely hard by the end.
Alongside practice mode there's a daily challenge: the same seeded puzzle for every player that day, with exactly one attempt.
Scoring
- Your score is the total time to finish all five rounds — lower is better.
- A wrong click adds a 2-second penalty, which is roughly the cost of an entire extra round.
- Practice and daily runs go to separate leaderboards.
Tips
- Accuracy beats speed: one miss costs more than careful looking ever will.
- Scan systematically (rows or quadrants) instead of darting around the grid.
- Squinting or leaning back slightly can make the odd shade pop out.

You clicked a wrong tile. Every miss adds a 2-second penalty to your total.
Can I retry the daily puzzle?
No — the daily challenge is one attempt per day, same puzzle for everyone. Practice mode is unlimited.
