How to play Typo Gauntlet
Race real humans through sentences built to break fingers.
How to play
Type the sentence exactly — capitalization, commas, everything. The clock starts on your first keystroke, and only correctly-typed prefix progress counts.
Race strangers via quick match, or create a room and share its code with friends. After a countdown, first to finish the sentence perfectly wins.
Solo mode is a warm-up against your own best pace, shown as a ghost pace bar.
Scoring
- Your score is words per minute (characters ÷ 5 ÷ minutes) — higher is better.
- Anti-cheat: runs under 3 seconds or above 260 WPM don't count, on the grounds of being faster than humanly possible.
Tips
- The sentences are chosen for cruel punctuation — slow down 10% at commas and quotes and you'll finish faster overall.
- Your cursor only advances on a perfect prefix, so one stubborn typo blocks everything until fixed.
Frequently asked questions
